Hope and Help
for Refugee Families.
Each year thousands of refugee families arrive in the United States and face the challenge of transition into a new home. Leaving family, friends and community, these new neighbors step into a life that can be vastly different from the one they left behind. At Gateway Teams we want to ensure that no one travels that path alone.
Our goal is to partner the local church and the community with first-generation immigrants, refugees, and newcomers to create a healthy environment for their growth spiritually, socially, educationally, and economically. Come find out how you can be a part of their journey!
What Do We Do?
We serve families! We Equip teams, Serve our community, and Give resources to those walking through the door to a new life in Nashville. Explore more about our Teams approach in the areas below.
-
We Equip
with the tools needed to build relationships and truly serve refugee families. This means understanding the refugee journey, cultural differences and how to help people in need without hurting.
-
We Serve
by gathering as groups of people who love to do life together. Meeting at least once a month, teams join with refugee families for outings to the store, evenings at a baseball game, or even simply to host dinner!
-
We Give
by gathering a community of individuals and organizations who seek to equip and uplift refugee families through the stewardship of their unique gifts, skills, and resources.
Our Core Principles
Follow our journey.
